November temperatures range from a low 25 C to 29 C, it’s the transition from Monsoon to Dry season, so it is much less rain at this time of year. Weather real feel is not too humid and can be breezy. If it does rain, it will be light rain that will pass quickly.

We would describe it as Viet Fusion, the BBQ is surf and turf with some Asian inspired twists.
The main event meal will cater for both European and Vietnamese palettes. There will be some vegetarian options, please shout it you have any special dietary requirements.
Rest assured nothing too spicy and nothing scary.

It is the perfect weather for light dresses, sleeveless shirts and shorts. Please do remember the first evening is a ‘white’ theme and for the main event we are all wearing linen. For more information, please refer to “The Attire” tab.

In the resort you will be able to use card at the facilities or charge directly to your room then pay later at check out by card. If you go on an adventure outside the resort and want to buy something, most branded shops will offer simple ‘tap and go’ but street vendors usually take cash.
If you’re flying in Viet Nam for the event, you can safely take cash out of the ATM’s at the airport, or any ATM machine in Ho Chi Minh that accept VISA or Mastercard. Exchange rate will depend on date of transaction.

In Vietnam, tipping is not mandatory but is well appreciated. Typically, if it’s a standard local restaurant leave 20,000 VND or more if it was great service or if it’s an upscale restaurant, tip as you feel like, most of the time they also include already service charge on the bill (around 7% of total bill). 

There is nothing traditional or conventional about how Tien and Tim got married or plan to celebrate with you. Whilst Tien won’t be wearing an Áo Dài and Tim won’t be wearing an Áo Gấm, it is quite possible Tien will change 3 times during the day. Our only wish for the weekend is this will be an opportunity for families and friends of Tien and Tim to get to know each other a little bit better, and together celebrate this journey of our life.

This one is tricky, as we don’t wish to offend, so here are the traditions for cultural reference.
Gift giving is a tradition that expresses respect and blessings for the couple, there are ceremonial offerings, like gold jewellery, tea and lacquerware that symbolise prosperity and harmony.
At the tea ceremony, the groom’s family present gifts of jewels, cakes, wines, fruits and seeding money for the couple. And so does the bride’s family, this will also be the time when bride’s close relatives offer gifts and dowries to the bride. These offerings will be publically announced in front of Bride’s ancestral altar and attending guests as a token of respect to the bride and the bride’s family.
At the celebration reception, guests will typically give red envelope – yes there is money inside. The amount can small or large, the closer the relatives the larger the amount.
We would say this, we don’t expect gifts and would rather accept your blessings that we might enjoy a long, healthy and happy marriage together.

There is no Uber in Vietnam, but there is something similar.
1. Grab, an international food & transport service company. If you see motorbike drivers around wearing green helmets & jackets,
it is them!
2. Xanh SM, a local EVs food & transport service company by Vingroup. This is a large fleet of EVs car and motorbikes which you can easily to spot them in light blue or with V logo on the vehicles .
The Apps for both are available on Apple Store and Play Store, they are both safe to add your credit card on the app for use which is way easier than paying with cash.
